Referred to as “The Voice of South Africa,” legendary Sotho singer-songwriter Vusi Mahlasela will forever be associated with the country's road to freedom. His 1992 debut album, When You Come Back, is today considered a classic, and was dedicated to all those who were forced into political exile during apartheid. Thanks to his trademark gentle voice, soothing guitar and poetic lyrics, Mahlasela's unique brand of African folk has also continued to inspire audiences post-1994.
