Mario Pelchat Essentials

Mario Pelchat has continually shown new sides to his artistry in his decades-long journey as one of Quebec’s most popular performers. Pelchat first found fame as a teen heartthrob with “Tu m’as fait mal” and “Je suis un chanteur”, two early-‘80s hits that established his prowess with sweeping ballads. After scoring another massive hit with “Plus haut que moi”, his 1993 duet with Céline Dion, Pelchat expanded his repertoire to include musical theatre, country and jazz. Just as remarkable are his explorations of the rich musical canvases created by Charles Aznavour and Michel Legrand.
