Travelling a lot as a child armed Traore with a deep sensibility to the music of the world, as well as a strong individuality. The result can be seen in her eclectic output, a tasteful brew of traditional ngoni and balafon sounds with vocals in her native Bambara language, and electric rock patterns borrowed from the bands that initially drove her to pick up a guitar. Recipient of several prizes and awards, it is her powers of invention that win her the most acclaim. Follow her journey between her African roots, French chanson, rock and jazz.
