Río Roma: The Songwriters
Apple Music
At the turn of the millennium, José Luis Ortega was a crooner in Mexican boy band Ciao Mama. However, it wasn’t long before he turned into a prolific songwriter of rich, descriptive stories with catchy hooks and melodies. The artist, who also teams with his brother Raúl as Río Roma, taps into character and emotion for lyrics that can go from heartbreak to fellowship in a moment’s notice. His works include pop-rock outfit Camila’s sweet “Todo Cambió” and norteño-banda maestros Calibre 50’s “Contigo”.
