EDITORS’ NOTES

Good Grief is built to make you move. The sophomore album from eclectic New Yorkers Lucius bubbles with kinetic energy. “Almighty Gosh” surges forth with frantic percussion and ’80s-inspired synths, while the explosive “Something About You” thumps along to an unforgettable chorus. But the band take a few breathers between the glitzy indie pop numbers (see: the dramatic “My Heart Got Caught On Your Sleeve” and folk-inflected, windswept “Dusty Trails”), making Good Grief as well-suited to your living room as the dance floor.

Just Great

Saw these guys live and became an instant fan. High energy, unabashedly hook centric old school style. Pure fun mixed with great harmonies. All the joy of great pop with none of the vapid sacharrine predicability which usually litters this genre. This album is great but it doesn't do justice to their live show. Go see them and you will fall in love. Easy 5 stars.

Spectacular

Unbelievable harmonies, catchy 80's pop tones, emotional ballads, meaningful lyrics, and a stage style to match... I just love these guys so much. They're even better live!

These girls are going places

I love the fast paced, rockin' tempo of this album mixed with their unique, ethereal harmonies.
