The Soundtrack to Vacation

I had no idea how I'd like a whole album of this kind of jazz, but I saw Isaac live playing with some other musicians and had to check it out. I've started listening to this album on my way to and from and work and, every time I do, I feel like I immediately need to schedule a vacation for the Mediterranean or Caribbean or somewhere exotic. My current favorites are "Easier" and "Salto," but last week they were "Eminence" and "Western," so just know that every song will be a favorite. And Isaac's "Tennessee Waltz" rendition is fabulous! That song never gets old, but Isaac's interpretation will make you want to start waltzing in your kitchen with whoever happens to be around or, at the very least, to grab some sweet tea and go sit on the rocking chair on the porch and watch the sun set with that song as the background music. This album has spunk and heart, and Isaac has a clear mastery of the mandolin. I'm addicted to listening to "Native Language" and am envious that I can't speak it so well. Fantastico, Isaac!
