Thank you Showoff

This is gonna be long : )

Long time showoff fan here since '99. I can remember being a teen watching MTV with my best friend one night and after seeing blink 182 "what's my again" video and going crazy for how cool we thought it was - then the next video we saw was Showoff "Falling Star" and we both instantly said that Showoff was gonna be our next favorite band! We went out and each found the S/T album and the rest is history - showoff has been one of my favorite bands ever.

I was devastated when they broke up. I always felt Showoff was vastly under appreciated commercially by all the other bands that blew up during that time period. I will say upon first listen of this album is it is amazing! My only wish was we got more fast songs in vein if Coalition - I would love to here some showoff songs with the fast punk beat - I've always thought that. All in all the Self titled, wishing you were here, and Midwest Side Story are 5 star albums!

Finally!

The 2006 release Waiting for You was OK, but Midwest Side Story sounds like it captures the magic of their self-titled 1999 release. The Weezer-esque vibe of pop-punk rock mixed with a 50's sound is unique and crisp. Based on the first 5 songs released I have high expectations that this will top the 1999 album. Hard not to like.
