Adrenaline Mob’s third record kicks off with some fightin’ words—over punishing overdrive, the band lay into “King of the Ring” as singer Russell Allen threatens a metaphorical beatdown. Seething from the 2016 presidential election, their no-frills heavy metal takes on a political bent here. “Ignorance & Greed” rails over wild, breakneck riffage, while “Chasing Dragons” addresses the opioid epidemic with a slow build and pounding double pedal kick drum. For the finale, they turn Billy Idol’s “Rebel Yell” into a scorcher with some wicked shredding.
