Born in Iraq, Rabab made a home for herself in Kuwait where she landed her first record contract in the late '70s. With a powerful voice, dynamic range and humble presence, Rabab became a trailblazer for female Arabic singers. Releasing her most popular albums during the '80s, she gained a dedicated fan base across the Arab world. Throughout a career spanning over 30 years, Rabab kept to the traditional Khaleeji dialect and released many romantic, patriotic and dramatic songs.
