Young Guns

About Young Guns

English alternative rock outfit Young Guns formed in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire in 2003. The quintet, which features the talents of vocalist Gustav Wood, bassist Simon Mitchell, drummer Ben Jolliffe, and guitarists John Taylor and Fraser Taylor, turned heads in 2009 with its debut EP, Mirrors. Young Guns' penchant for apocalyptic lyrics and huge, stadium-ready anthems drew comparisons to artists like Lostprophets and Taking Back Sunday, and landed them an opening slot for the first night of Bon Jovi's London residency at the O2 Arena. Striking while the iron was hot, the band released its full-length debut, All Our Kings Are Dead, the following year. The group's sophomore outing, Bones, was recorded in Thailand with former Sikth guitarist Dan Weller. ~ James Christopher Monger
