Tedd Joselson

About Tedd Joselson

A protege of Curzon and Horowitz, pianist Tedd Joselson made his debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra in 1974, before reaching adulthood. He has specialized in Romantic virtuoso repertory, especially Russian, but also often plays Beethoven and other Viennese composers. Joselson became well known as a concerto soloist but was also familiar from his annual recital tours, which he began after making his debut at the Great Performers series at New York's Lincoln Center in 1975. In 1976, he was signed to the RCA Red Seal label and released a series of LPs, several of which earned Grammy nominations. He retired in 1999 but returned to performing in the 2010s. He issued a pair of new albums in 2021, one of Manu Martin's Lim Fantasy of Companionship for piano and orchestra, and the other entitled Tedd Joselson's Companionship of Concertos.
