In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up in a household that played romantic Spanish music as well as listened to alternative electronic rock. This steered me towards writing my own songs at a young age. I'm heavily influenced by those musical approaches and find identity in both. Björk, Vespertine David Bowie, Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps) [2017 Remaster] Depeche Mode, Violator (Deluxe) Bonus Tracks Edition David Bowie is my favorite artist and Scary Monsters is the album of his I can't live without. DM's Violator is a powerhouse electronic album with a perfect track list. Bjork's Vespertine is a masterpiece of intimate and vocally adventurous music. I wanted to capture her complexity as a joyous and positive figure who's lived through many dark times. She's an extra ordinary person so I gave the song an offbeat tone while also paying tribute to her resilience.
