On danceXL, we highlight the biggest club tracks primed for mainstream crossover. Leading the way this week is airy house thumper “Breathe You In” from Matt “RackNRuin” Robson-Scott and Kye “Foamo” Gibbon—aka Gorgon City—featuring the vocal talents of NORTH. “She is a really exciting new British act and we were blown away by her tone and ethereal nature,” Robson-Scott tells Apple Music about their featured guest. “Her vocals were perfect, and we didn’t need to do much to make them fit on this track. It’s always a pleasure when that happens!” A year on from fourth album Salvation, the duo is preparing to release follow-up Reverie on 19 July, promising a more dance-floor-focused project written and produced with Coachella’s Yuma tent in mind. In April, the pair grabbed the chance to finally test out the single’s crowd-pleasing potential at the California festival. “It went down really well,” says Gibbon. “You always know early on from the crowd response if they connect [to the song] in a special way. We played it at Elrow [in Dublin] and it connected, just last month we did a live PA in Ibiza and it went off!” Elsewhere on danceXL, new floor-fillers come in from Disclosure and salute & piri, plus Rudimental & Karen Harding.
